The merry season is indeed in the air as the news that will surely excite not just the kids but the kids at heart (even more so) has arrived, we will now have the chance to see Bluey live on stage!
When not busy giving us ideas how to entertain the kids with at-home imaginative games like that one in the “Hotel” episode, or showing the grown-ups too-close to home situations like that one time Chilli had a moment in the “BBQ” episode or touring us around Queensland by putting notable local spots as scene backdrops like that one they showed South Bank in the “Ice Cream” episode, apparently the Heelers – Bluey, and her sister Bingo together with dad, Bandit and mum, Chilli are busy preparing to deliver us the world premiere of – Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show.
Perfectly timed for these school holidays, and the Queensland Government’s easing of the restrictions with the increased seating capacity for theatres up to 100 per cent, there is no better time and place to see this home-grown animated family. The show will take place on the Playhouse stage from 22 December 2020 to 10 January 2021 in a strictly limited season.
Local but with global accolades such as an International Emmy® Kids Award in the Preschool category in 2020 and produced by Emmy® award-winning Ludo Studio, Bluey showing in ABC Kids is co-commissioned by ABC Children’s and BBC Studios with support from the Australian Government through Screen Australia, and Queensland Government through Screen Queensland.
The live-show which will feature an original story by Brisbane’s own Bluey creator Joe Brumm and new music by Brisbane-based Bluey composer, Joff Bush, Tickets will surely sell fast for real life, so visit qpac.com.au or phone 136-246 to secure your seats now.
