If you count yourself as a food and wine lover, then get ready to sip and sample your way through a foodie’s dream experience at Brisbane’s Good Food and Wine Show 2019!
Hot on the tails of two successful shows in Melbourne and Sydney, the Brisbane Good Food and Wine Show, presented by Citi, will be landing in Brisbane on Friday October 25 – Sunday October 27, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This three-day event is the perfect day out and will take you on an incredible sensory journey, exploring the best in food and wine from across Australia. You’ll be absolutely spoiled for choice, with the opportunity to meet and watch some of Australia’s top chefs in demonstrations and masterclass experiences, as well as over 200 exhibitors and 500 wine varieties!
Across these three days, you’ll get to see some of the best chefs give live cooking demonstrations in the Princess Cruises Theatre, presented by ILVE, including Matt Moran, Matt Golinski, Matt Sinclair and everyone’s favourite Spanish chef, Miguel Maestre!
To step it up, you can also purchase VIP entry, which gets you a ticket to the relaxing VIP lounge, where you can enjoy premium wines from Margaret River, a special lunch designed by Matt Moran and, as a beautiful last touch, a Maggie Beer dessert.
For the ultimate experience, you can also enjoy a meal with your culinary idol at the Chef’s Lunch—a three-course dining experience designed by celebrity chefs, with some of the best Australian wines to match; you’ll also get the chance to ask any questions you’ve been dying to know the answers to at the Chef Q&A.
As for food and drink vendors, the line-up includes a decadent taste of Melbourne with the Truffle Melbourne Truffle Truck, Melbourne Gin Co, Marionette Liqueurs and more!
There are also a range of masterclasses you can go to for some skills you can take home with you! To shake things up (literally!), you can head over to Matso’s Mixology 30 minute masterclass to watch and learn how to mix Matso’s alcoholic Ginger Beer and their new Hard Lemon fruity brew into some classic cocktails.
For the wine enthusiasts and the wine-curious, you can visit the Riedel Drinks Lab to discover the best of the show’s wine exhibitors, with free masterclass sessions running each day, including Let’s Get Fizzical, Stop and Smell the Rosé. Over at the Wine Selectors Cellar Door, there is more to learn at the Bubblicious Brunch and Shiraz Sizzle sessions. So whatever your wine taste is, there will be something for your palate there!
If whisky is more your thing, hop onboard the Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer, a 1972 vintage Leyland bus specially converted into a premium whisky lounge on wheels for the event! There you can sample the world’s most awarded whisky, Glenfiddich 12y.o. Single Malt, or learn how to pair whisky and cheese!
The fun doesn’t end there—the Brisbane Good Food and Wine Show has much more on offer and will be the ultimate food and wine experience that you absolutely can’t miss. Save the date in your calendars and get ready for the best day out!
