Prepare yourself for 11 days of incredible cinema as the Brisbane Queer Film Festival returns for its 21st year.

From Thursday March 5 to Sunday March 15, New Farm Cinemas will play host to a line-up of feature films and shorts from around the world that celebrate and empower the LGBTIQA community. There's something for everyone with screenings spanning from highly acclaimed dramas to engaging documentaries.

The Opening Night Gala on Friday March 6 will see the much buzzed-about Swedish luminous drama And Then We Danced, which explores the Georgian dance scene, interwoven with a touching coming-of-age tale. The inherently political flick has scored rave reviews from critics and will no doubt be one of the festival's hottest tickets.

Tickets from $15, available here.
