Fadi’s Hair moves to Portside

Fadi’s Hair has left the wildness of Brisbane 4006 to enter the upmarket métier and bountiful calm of Portside Wharf.

This article was first published on our original site MyCityLife way back on the 29th Jan 2014. It seems as though the Portside Fadi’s salon has since closed down (although they are currently trading from 5/826 Ann St Fortitude Valley). Long has 4007 been an illustrious postcode. With its undulating hills commanding superb city views and dwellings (for one can hardly call them mere ‘houses’) frequently commanding up to the 1-1.2 million dollar value, this esteemed region has always been quite the area for the rich and upper class to while away their wonderful lives in rather large residencies.

A favourite area of establishment for old wealth, prestigious professionals and their families, expect to find pâté and triple cream brie in the fridge and Mitchelton Estate Shiraz in the cellar. Home to private school kids and formerly Christopher Skase (including an observatory, obscenely large pool and room for a 20 piece big band to perform on festive evenings), Brisbane 4007 is certainly for the grand elite. And with the new upmarket Portside Wharf precinct adding further value of riverfront dining and lounging, boutique fashion and lifestyle choices, 4007 has only become #sexier.

Fadi’s Hair has left the #wildness of Brisbane 4006 to enter the upmarket métier and bountiful calm of Portside Wharf. The grass is certainly greener here, with beautiful river views, fine restaurants like Gusta di Gianni’s and Byblos, and new family and lifestylers favourite Eat Street Markets encouraging all of Brisbane to descend Friday and Saturday evenings. With Hamilton Harbour and Northshore Hamilton beguiling every which way, Portside Wharf is certainly the place for esteemed businesses to #shine.

And while Fadi might tame the tresses of Queensland’s A List, from Sophie Formica to Ben Gilles and Kristy Hinze (just to name drop, name drop), the everyday human bean can easily be transformed into a BrisVegan #glamazon. Certainly everyday hair services from blowdrys, cuts, colours and updos are performed and performed beautifully, it is with hair extensions (particularly ‘big hair’), great lengths, keratin treatments and hair straightening where Fadi particularly shines.

Mishaps of manes are no such thing at Fadi’s Hair in Brisbane #4007. So, would one like it dirty, shaken or stirred?
