Brisbane isn’t about to give up one of it’s annual traditions of taking a day to act like we’re at the races and not at work, so if you need an excuse to get fancy and celebrate, here’s where the party’s at:
For just $35pp, enjoy a drink on arrival, a selection of 4 main courses, TAB facilities and, of course, a prime seat for the race that stops the nation.
Finn McCool’s Fortitude Valley
There’s no doubt that the Irish know how to party so you’ll definitely be at the right place if you love food, drinks, and live entertainment.
The 4-hour package costs $65pp and it includes a cocktail on arrival and tap beer, house wine, sparkling, juice, soft drink, and tapas, along with amazing live entertainment, fashion on the field judging, race sweeps, and lucky door prizes.
Gerard’s Bistro and Gerard’s Bar
For the classy foodies among us, bring your appetites. From 12pm-4pm, Gerard’s Bistro and Gerard’s Bar will be serving a 3-course banquet featuring fresh seafood and a carefully curated selection from Executive Chef Adam Wolfers.
Alongside this feast, guests can also expect free-flowing Louis Roederer champagne, signature cocktails and premium beer, wine and spirits. This is an all-inclusive 4-hour package at $220pp.
The Bavarian Eagle Street Pier and Beerhaüs Bowen Hills
At the Bavarian, watch the race from arguably the most beautiful spot in Brisbane and enjoy an a la carte menu with your choice of two set menus from $39pp to $69pp.
You won’t miss the race at Beerhaüs at Bowen Hills with 22 large-screen TVs and al fresco seating on the terrace. An a la carte menu will also be available.
Both restaurants are embracing the Melbourne Cup spirit with $10 cocktails and $5 Schnapps– all named after iconic horses.
If you spend the whole year planning your outfit, then don’t let it go to waste. Cloudland still has tickets for the Perrier-Jouët Bubbles & Pearls– Alice Room Melbourne Cup Day experience at $267pp.
This package includes Perrier-Jouët Champagne, select cocktails, premium spirits, a reserve wine list, premium tap beers, cider, soft drink and juices, a selection of hot, cold and dessert canapés, and share plates including fresh and cooked seafood, served to your table throughout the afternoon.
There will also be entertainment throughout the afternoon, fashions on the field, amazing prizes for best dressed Duke and Duchess, best race day hat, race day sweeps and more.
Brisbane might not be hosting the Cup but we’re sure bringing the party. See you and your best hat out there!
