Delve if you dare into a hive of creativity when RAW Brisbane returns to The MET with Magnify. Transforming into an art showcase, The MET will see over 50 individual indie artists come together to create an underground experience like no other. From visual artists, photographers, fashion designers, musicians, hair and make-up artists, performance artists and film makers, Magnify has dipped into Brisbane’s pool of talent to bring you some absolute gems.

The showcase focuses on providing independent artists within the first 10 years of their creative careers with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity; it helps them be seen, heard, and loved. There are freelance artists with thousands of followers, but also first-timers who are just beginning to put their art out there.

Explore a maze of creativity as you enter through the different rooms, corridors and balconies, filled with a colourful display of sights, sounds, textures, performances and more. Featuring photographers with a range of different styles, no two photos will be the same. Whether it’s Will Steele’s stunning landscape shots and impressive portraits, Neuvou 9’s kaleidoscopic flora and fauna or Ali Pike’s ability to capture moments before they slip away, there’s something to please every eye.

Covering the full spectrum of visual artists, RAW will see graphic designers, illustrators, drawers, and painters take part of the showcase. Keep an eye out for Ronelle Reid’s animal prints, Jordan Lewerissa’s colourful illustrations, Candice Larkin Designs resin art and Little Pea Prints quirky designs.

The catwalk is also set to come alive as local designers, make-up and hair artists collaborate to concoct stunning shows. Be dazzled by the fashionable outfits and accessories by Kimbralou, Keeley, 3 Little Loves X and Cinderella After Midnight, just to name a few. FX Make-Up artist Nick James FX will be showcasing his work alongside the likes of Makeup by Gill MW and MJ Beauty while Jacinta Bevar and Tegan June are just a couple of the artists looking after the hair.

Not to be forgotten are our musicians who will be setting the ambiance for the night: rock band Jumbo Dragon, Ukulele master Peppermint Ollie, R&B and Jazz hybrid Mufaro and psychedelic rock and roll band Black Sun. The RAW showcase will leave you with a smile on your face as you see determined creatives show you what they’ve got. It’s real, expose… it’s raw.

RAW Brisbane's Magnify hits the MET from 6.30pm, Thursday April 5 with tickets for $20 available here.
