It is a well-known fact that Pad Thai is a serious favourite in everyone’s taste vocabulary but, unfortunately, an impromptu trip to Thailand to curb our craving isn’t always a possibility. No need to worry, we’ve got you covered with a few gems in Brisbane offering the most authentic, mouth-watering Pad Thai around.

1. Phat Elephant

Phat Elephant is renowned for delivering a feast for your eyes and stomach! Boasting a Pad Thai menu catering for everyone, enjoy the traditional chicken or treat yourself to the prawn. A vegetarian option also available. Reflected in their menu and decor, Phat elephant offers an authentic Thai ambience with a casual and modern twist.

2. P’Nut Street Noodles

There’s no way you can miss P’Nut Street Noodles when strolling down the streets of Bulimba, Southbank or Windsor. From the stylish neon signage to the intoxicating Thai aromas flooding your senses, there is only one goal here: to transport your tastebuds to Thailand. It’s no wonder the Pad Thai is famous here, the pastes used as the base of all their recipes are straight from the streets of Thailand itself. Talk about authenticity! If you’re after somewhere to eat like a Thai local without having to leave Brisbane, then this is the place for you.

3. Banana Leaf Thai Restaurant

For a new go-to Friday night Thai fix, pay a visit to Banana Leaf. Make sure to book ahead as this place fills up over the weekend with Camp Hill locals and out of towners searching to satiate their Pad Thai craving. Known for being fresh and healthy without scamping on flavour, Pad Thai is a must-try.

4. Thaiways

This lesser-known gem in Albion offers a unique dining experience. Thaiways offers an intimate ambience speaking directly to couples on date night and families searching for a relaxing night out. Softly lit, tastefully decorated and enormous servings of Pad Thai are what you can expect from here. There’s plenty of parking nearby, although the staff here are no stranger to the phone ringing off the hook with takeaway orders.

5. Thai on High

Less is more means something here at Thai on High. Don’t let the little prices fool you: be prepared for big servings. The friendly atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind with friends and chat over a ”share” plate of Pad Thai. The sharing part is recommended, however, can be blissfully ignored!
