There’s no greater feeling of dread than the one you feel when you realise that volunteering to have everyone over at your house for the races or for Christmas means that you will have to sort out food. And between cleaning your house, decorating the place and entertaining your guests, who wants to worry about cooking?

Thankfully, we have an easy solution for you: Short Order, the one-stop-shop that’s about to make entertaining effortless.

Brought to you by the folks behind Jocelyn’s Provisions, Short Order is a concept store located in Newstead that’s dedicated to serving up premium ready-to-go dining and catering. Their mantra is “Goodness Daily” and they are clearly proving it—their meals are all top-notch quality and home-cooked, so you get all the perks of home dining without having to slave away in the kitchen for hours or do all the washing up afterwards. It’s almost too easy, really.

Assembled by chef Callum Rogers, who has a pretty stacked resume from working at establishments all over the world, the menu at Short Order leaves you spoiled for choice. With a focus on locally-sourced ingredients, the menu boasts a wide range of proteins, vegetables and salads, as well as an array of sauces, flavoured butter and dressings, so your table will always be full!

The dedicated catering menu features a selection of items that you can mix and match depending on the occasion—you can choose from items like lunch platter boxes, sweet and savoury finger food and bespoke cheese platter boxes with a variety of dips. You’ll have all your guests thinking you’re Masterchef-worthy even though you haven’t lifted a finger in the kitchen!

So this festive season, put your feet up and call all your friends! Celebrations don’t have to be stressful anymore—Short Order’s got you covered!
