If you’re a lover of fine Japanese cuisine, we have some very exciting news for you!

The secret is officially out! Jonathan Barthelmess, owner of Greca and team are taking over the highly sought after spot of the precinct and have just announced the new venue Yoko… a two-story Japanese Izakaya! And it’s set to open in November!

Not sure what an Izakaya is? You’re in for a real treat! Traditionally in Japan, they are casual drinking establishments, serving all sorts of food that are designed to be shared amongst the table!

Yoko has been inspired by buzzing Tokyo izakayas, music bars, and pop culture! Imagine an up-beat, retro vibe while also a futuristic and modern feel both at the downstairs restaurant and Yoko’s mezzanine level. So, get ready to sit back and enjoy your choice of over 200 wines, Yuki slushies, or cocktails.

The main feature of the menu created by chef Chitak Lee is an Hiabachi..a Japanese charcoal grill which adds HEAPS of flavour and smoke to an intensive seafood menu.

You’ll also find all-time favourites on menu including gyoza, tempura and noodles while the real signature dishes will be the larger share plates including wagyu and roasted duck. And if that’s not enough to get your mouth watering, the desserts feature mochi, sweet waffles and shaved ice kakigori, all paired with an elaborate sake and wine menu.
