Friday February 28

Ellen Briggs at The Sit Down Comedy Club

Clock off work and enjoy a night of stand-up comedy at The Sit Down Comedy Club! Hosted by Aaron Pratt Comedy, this week's headline will be the hilarious and darkly witted Ellen Briggs. Performing Friday and Saturday, Briggs will take you on an observational and hilarious journey through life as an accidental mother of identical twins and the wife of a husband who is away working for eight months of the year. Politically incorrect and downright funny.

Tickets $32, available here.

Catch The Neighbourhood On Its Last Weekend

A companion piece to 2017's production The VillageThe Neighbourhood is a raw and relevant work that explores migrant and refugee experiences across generations. Told by seven local story-tellers (continuing the ongoing partnership between La Boite and Multicultural Australia), the play investigates the notion of community and process of creating a home. Honest, moving and conversation-sparking. This unmissable piece of theatre ends Saturday.

Tickets from $35, available here.

Miso Hungry, Miso Thirsty at Saké Restaurant & Bar

Why not celebrate the weekend arriving by throwing back some saké and snacks? From 4pm - 6pm, Saké Restaurant & Bar will be serving its $15 drink and snack bar combo, so you can toast to the weekend in style.

45 Eagle Street, Eagle Street Pier, sakerestaurant.com.au

Eat Sticky Ribs At The Bavarian

Hungry? Good because The Bavarian has released new flavours of its irresistibly sticky, slow-cooked pork ribs and smoked chicken wings. Think ribs that are dusted in a coffee-spice rub, glazed in house-made Jack Daniel’s sauce and slow-cooked for two hours. Plus there are cauliflower wings, giant sharing platters, chips and fried chicken bao buns. Oh, and a rich fudge brownie drizzled with a boozy Jack Fire chocolate sauce. We're not drooling, you are.
