2020 has been a rough year for many of us. But there are plenty of opportunities around Brisbane to end the year on a good note.
Lefty’s “Road House NYE”
Leave the last year of this decade in the dust and throw it back to the 80’s at Lefty’s Roadhouse. This venue features American style food and music. No need for cocktail dresses here because the best-dressed roadhouse character can win a prize! Kick-off is at 8pm with four hours of drinks to keep you going through till midnight.
Riverlife Kangaroo Point
This luxurious New Years Eve party comes with a whole bunch of specials. Right on the river, there will be unlimited food offered featuring cuisine from three different cuisines, and five hours of drinks that you can upgrade to unlimited bubbles for a small price. This venue is known for hosting luxury weddings and events, so you know you are signing up for a quality party.
Fat Noodle at Treasury, Brisbane
This banquet for two is perfect for you and a significant other. Either close off 2020 or kick-offkick off 2021 with a feast of Southeast Asian cuisine. The menu consists of Thai fish cakes, Vietnamese chicken salad, lobster soup, sorbet trio, and two glasses of Talking Point Sparkling.
29 December 2020 – 3 January 2021 $69-$79.35
Friday’s is one of Brisbane’s best-known bars, so of course they are hosting a NYE party. Their venue has a great view of both the Brisbane River and Story Bridge. Coincidently, they will also have a view of the fireworks display later that night. A VIP package is available to get you access to premium glasses of wine, beer, spirits, and canapes.
Will and Flow
Starting at 8pm, beverages and small plates will be served with selections including oysters, scallops, and loaded chips. Gourmet beverages feature Moët & Chandon ICE, Aperol Spritz, basics, and a wide range of draught beer and wine. For entertainment, there will be a DJ, of course, and fire performers! That’s something not every venue can say. Tickets are limited, so contact them ASAP to reserve your spot.
Kingsleys is putting on an indulgent event this year for New Year’s Eve with a specially curated three-course dinner with a great wine pairing or Prosecco. This venue is also right on the river, guaranteeing you a spectacular view of the fireworks over Brisbane. A bonus is the kid-friendly two-course menu for those under 12.
2020 might leave a bitter taste in your mouth, and things may be a bit different this year (no fireworks at South Bank!) but you can try to make up for it at one of these New Years Eve events around the city. There’s sure to be great times ahead in 2021 so hit the ground running with a night out with the mates that helped you get through this year!
