Joining forces to thrust Brisbane into the cultural limelight is TWFineArt and Brisbane Riverview Hotel. Together, they have commissioned Californian artist Elise Lee to transform the exterior of the Riverview Hotel into a dynamic piece of art in motion. Titled ‘The Melody of Coexistence‘, it is a constantly evolving visual projection, oscillating, then stabilising; shapes emerging then disappearing all at once in an explosion of colour and form. The concept is to evoke the feeling of the beginning of summer – an invitation to party while blurring the lines between the real and unreal. The visual extravaganza doesn’t stop on the outside, with The Riverview Hotel’s art gallery inside hosting an exhibition of another Californian artist, Matt Sheridan. Called ‘Chasing Tail‘, the artwork represents an animated composite of physical and digital paintings, aiming to revolutionise the traditional medium by taking it into the fourth dimension. Also on view is a selection of limited edition prints from the TWFineArt portfolio with artists Greg Maclaughlin, Clay Mahn and Rachel Ritchford.
The Melody of Coexistence will be projected onto The Riverview Hotel on the nights of Friday December 5 and Saturday December 6.
Chasing Tail will run from the inside gallery from December 1 – January 31.
