Looking for some family fun this summer in Brisbane? Summerfest at Sunnybank Performing Arts Centre supported by Brisbane City Council is back with a diverse line-up of free performances with something for all ages. Performances include those from Queensland Symphony Orchestra, K-pop, and the Heilani Polynesian School of Arts. There is something for everyone to enjoy in a safe environment this holiday season.
On Saturday 5 December get entranced by intricate poses and dances from southern India to honour Shakti. Other performances sure to keep the kids entertained are the Red Nose Clowning Workshop at 11:15 am where they get to learn about comedy, slapstick, and other fun aspects of clowning. This is followed by a fun hour full of acrobatics, juggling, and comedy at 1:30 pm.
The event you should be sure to not miss is the Students’ Christmas Concert, including The Angels Choir, international pianist Vian Lin and violinist Even Setiawan. Join them in singing original arrangements as well as the classical songs.
