The Amity Affliction has debuted at number one on the ARIA Australian Artist Album chart with their seventh studio album, Everyone Loves You…Once You Leave Them, the followup to 2018’s Misery. The new release features the band’s signature tight riffing and gripping melodies, and is available now.

Mavis Staples

The genre-crossing brilliance of Mavis Staples comes to The Triffid this week. The two-time Grammy Award-winning artist, dubbed one of ‘The Last Ladies of Soul’, has been inducted into both the Blues and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, walked alongside Dr Martin Luther King, performed at the inauguration for President John F Kennedy, and collaborated with everyone from Prince to Arcade Fire.
