Supercell Dance Festival: Tuesday February 25

Supercell: Festival of Contemporary Dance continues its thought-provoking and innovative cultural showcase. On Tuesday, Australian Dance Party artists will lead ‘Uniquely Yours’ – a workshop drawing from the environmental consequences of Australia’s mining mentality. Originally commissioned for National Science Week ACT, Mine! has been re-imagined in 2020 for our very own Queen St Mall.

It’s only fair that wine lover’s get their own club too and thanks to the crew at Barbara, there’s now such thing as Wine Club Wednesdays – a weekly event that celebrates all things grape. Taste local wines and cheeses while bopping to DJ Greaves spin Italo disco beats.

Nine Lives Festival: Sunday February 29

To coincide with its ninth Birthday, Brisbane’s favourite record store Jet Black Cat Music presents its inaugural Nine Lives Festival. There will be BBQ’s burning, coffee and beverages brewing, dogs tails waggin’, and a world class line-up of artists including Aldous Harding (NZ), Angie McMahon, Julia Jacklin, Allah-Las (USA), Kevin Morby (USA), Kikagaku Moyo (Japan), Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and many, many more.
