If you thought Christmas in Brisbane couldn’t get any more magical, heartwarming or aggressively adorable, Bluey’s World has entered the chat — and she’s brought 35,500 shimmering pixels with her.

This year, for the first time ever, Bluey’s World Brisbane is transforming into a full-blown festive wonderland, complete with lights, carols, cracker crowns and the unmistakable sound of kids absolutely losing their minds with joy. Fans can expect a Bluey-style Christmas loaded with sparkle, music and tiny seasonal surprises that will send nostalgia levels sky-high for parents and create core memories for small people.

Bluey’s house is already prepped for Verandah Santa’s big arrival — twinkly, cosy, and filled with the kind of thoughtful details only true fans will spot. Visitors can hunt for Bingo’s beloved Floppy (who, let’s be honest, is the real star of Christmas), wander through rooms sprinkled with nods to favourite holiday episodes, and soak up that Heeler-family charm.

Then it’s out into the Neighbourhood, where the festive dial gets cranked even higher. Expect Bluey and Bingo posing for photos in their extremely excellent Christmas cracker crowns, holiday treats from the Golden Crown Takeaway and carollers breezing through the precinct singing Bluey-themed Christmas tunes. Yes, you will hum them for the rest of the night. Yes, your kids will request them every day until February.

And just when you think your Christmas spirit cup runneth over, something big happens. The sun dips, the lights rise, and Bluey’s World bursts to life with a nightly synchronised light and sound show, featuring tens of thousands of twinkling pixels illuminating the precinct from 6:30pm AEST. It’s merry. It’s magical. It might make you cry but in the good way.

“We’re thrilled to bring Christmas to Bluey’s World for the first time,” said Andrew Kay, Producer, Bluey’s World. “Families can step into a sparkling wonderland filled with lights, music, and surprises inspired by Bluey’s favourite holiday moments. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Christmas together.”

There’s also a limited-time seasonal pop-up shop on the outside deck, for anyone who needs to urgently purchase a Bluey Christmas ornament, T-shirt, plush toy, or all of the above. (No judgement. We’ve been there.)

Renata Bisgaard, Senior Live Events Manager, BBC Studios ANZ, adds: “Bluey’s World is all about creating moments of joy for families and fans, and this Christmas celebration takes that to a whole new level. We’re excited to bring fans an immersive experience filled with festive touches, inspired by the heartwarming stories they love. It’s a chance to step into Bluey’s world and make memories that will last well beyond the holidays.”

The city is already buzzing ahead of the festive launch, and for good reason — Bluey’s World was named one of Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places, and its Christmas makeover is expected to attract families from all over Queensland and beyond.

“Bluey’s World has quickly become one of Queensland’s most loved attractions, and this Christmas celebration will make it even more magical,” said Andrew Powell MP, Queensland’s Minister for Environment and Tourism, and Minister for Science and Innovation. “This world-class event is a fantastic way for families to come together, create memories, and experience the joy of the holidays in the heart of Brisbane.”

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner agrees: “Brisbane comes alive at Christmas and experiences like Bluey’s World create even more for visitors and locals to see and do. From sparkling lights to carollers, Christmas at Bluey’s World adds to the city’s festive celebrations and showcases why Brisbane is the best place in Australia to spend the holidays.”

With extended hours from 15 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, there’s plenty of time to experience the joy. But if you’re planning to go — especially during school holidays — you might want to channel your inner Chilli and stay organised.

Because, let’s face it: this Christmas, Bluey’s World is the place to be.
