Christian Louboutin will open its flagship Brisbane store in the Queen Street Mall planned for later this year, as the only Brisbane store for Christian Louboutin.
“French designer Christian Louboutin is globally famous for designer shoes, and their red soles that have become synonymous with luxury and celebrity, as well as accessories and fashion wear. Their stores are famed around the world, taking prime position in the best streets of leading fashion cities, and now the brand will make its Brisbane home at the corner of Queen and Edward Street, at the luxury end of the Queen Street Mall,” said JLL Head of Retail Leasing Queensland Cameron Taudevin.
Mr Taudevin said welcoming Christian Louboutin to the Queen Street Mall was a sign that luxury retail demand has jumped post-pandemic. “We are seeing a huge swing in spending from overseas holidays to luxury retail as travel remains restricted. Luxury products are in high demand and as a result, premium retail space in high traffic areas is as well.”
“The Christian Louboutin lease is the latest of a number of luxury retailer moves in Brisbane’s CBD in 2021.”
“Gucci have just opened their new flagship store, an increase in area from their previous store in Edward Street, and Balenciaga is fitting out next door for their first Brisbane store. There is more to come as Australia and Queensland continue to move forward economically and socially post-COVID.”
