The wildly popular The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Brisbane is landing in the city this April, bringing the world of Friends out of the screen and into a fully immersive walk-through experience that feels like stepping straight into an episode.
And yes, there will be photos. So many photos.
Live your nostalgic dreams with your fave 90s/00s comfort show
Opening from April 2026, the experience will take over Level Q at Uptown Brisbane in the CBD, transforming the space into a series of instantly recognisable sets and scenes from the beloved sitcom.
The premise is beautifully simple: wander through recreated sets, poke around iconic props and channel your inner Joey, Monica or Phoebe along the way.
Fans can walk through Monica’s purple-door apartment, peek into her kitchen (please resist reorganising the cupboards), and step into the boys’ apartment complete with the foosball table that somehow survived eleven seasons of chaos.
And yes — the orange couch moment is real.
There’s a replica of the famous Central Perk café setup where visitors can pose on the couch in front of the fountain, which might trigger an uncontrollable urge to hum the theme song. No judgement if you do.
The nostalgia hits immediately
Even people who haven’t rewatched the show twelve times tend to recognise the details instantly. The set recreations are designed to look like you’ve walked onto a soundstage mid-episode.
Expect familiar touches everywhere: Props and costumes from the series, photo opportunities across multiple sets and interactive spaces that feel lifted straight from the show’s universe. It’s the kind of place where you’ll hear strangers quoting lines to each other while waiting for their turn on the couch.
Someone will absolutely shout “How you doin’?” at least once.
There’s even a shop for your inner superfan
Once you’ve finished living your sitcom fantasy, the experience wraps up with a themed store stocked with exclusive merchandise — everything from mugs and hoodies to nostalgic props inspired by the show.
If you’ve ever wanted your own Hugsy the penguin, this might be your moment. Just remember one thing before you go. If someone suggests moving a couch during the experience… You already know what to yell.
