What is Van Gogh Alive?
Don’t come expecting an ‘normal’ art exhibition experience. Art comes alive at the Grand Pavilion at Northshore (next to Eat Street) with the incredible multi-sensory, immersive exhibition, Van Gogh Alive which has already thrilled millions of people around the world.
The mammoth 70m x 25m purpose-built Grand Pavilion is a digital gallery wrapped in a visually stunning floral exterior that took 64 locals almost six weeks to construct and fit-out at Northshore Brisbane.
Van Gogh Alive has entertained more than 8 million visitors in 75+ cities (most recently in Adelaide!) across six continents and features more than 3000 images set to a classical score.
The Grand Pavilion is not only home to the Sensory 4TM Gallery which houses Van Gogh Alive but it features four additional immersive spaces including the instagrammable Van Gogh’s bedroom, Van Gogh’s Café Terrace at Night, where you can sit and enjoy a glass of Taittinger champagne, the amazing
infinity Sunflower Room, where you can stand in a never ending field of sunflowers, and, in a world first, the spectacular Starry Night Room, which allows visitors to walk on air through Van Gogh’s famous painting ‘Starry Night’.
