The Jazz Club is an institution in Brisbane. Totally run by volunteers it has continued to survive for almost 50 years. One of those awesome volunteers is Ingrid James -a Brisbane based Jazz singer and educator. She has been producing and hosting a Jazz Singers’ Jam Night for the past 19 years, principally at the Brisbane Jazz Club), as well as being Festival Director for the Brisbane Vocal Jazz Festival and Producer of International Jazz Day 2019 @ Brisbane Jazz Club/MBS Light.

Ingrid has been coordinating the latest venture of the Brisbane Jazz Club & Jazz Singers’ Jam Night initiative – Voices of Tomorrow – a night to showcase young and emerging voices/instrumentalists/artists in a supportive and safe space. Each month, a professional trio will accompany these like-minded school-aged artists in front of a ‘live audience’.
So head along if you want to see some up and coming artists performing jazz standards – a great way to support the local music community – and have a fun night with some great tunes.
