Take a trip to Tel Aviv via Fortitude Valley, as the Ovollo Hotel’s bar turns into your new favourite leisurely dining destination.
For three whole decadent hours (12-3pm), grab your friends and sip away on free flowing Aperol Spritz, Bulldog Gin and tonics, draught beer and house wine paired with a veritable feast. There’s also a live DJ bringing Tel Aviv tunes and vibes all afternoon long.
Your table will be topped up with plate upon plate of delicious mezze to nibble on while you enjoy your Saturday session. Dishes include halloumi doughnuts with chilli jam (absolutely my fave); kofta with spiced tomato and cucumber yoghurt; and barbecue cauliflower shawarma with labneh mornay, green mango and curry leaf oil. And that’s just SOME of the yums on offer.
Once you’re finished grazing on some of the most scrummy (and aesthetically pleasing) plates you’re likely to see, it’s time for dessert. These sugary confections are served on a dessert station that seems to get topped up magically, because people keep eating but the plates are always full.
