There’s nothing in the world that’s quite as enticing as a good Sunday session. Think refreshing cocktails, delicious eats, fun in the sun and the very best tunes to help you tune out the rest of the world. And thanks to Casa Aperol x Justin Lane, you can do just that every Sunday until November 6.

And as someone who has experienced the chilled out vibes of Casa Aperol myself, I can definitely tell you it’s the place to be this spring/summer. The iconic Justin Lane Rooftop Bar, located off the Gold Coast Highway at Burleigh Heads will be transformed into a mediterranean oasis for the season, dishing out European vibes, live music acts, offering chilled-to-perfection refreshing Aperol Spritzes to sip on all afternoon. As well as a handful of enticing other cocktails on the menu, you can also be whisked away to Italy right at your table as you nibble the moreish menu designed by head chef Steven Brand.

And if that doesn’t sound tempting enough, how about a luxury all-inclusive boat cruise? Um, YES PLEASE. Each Sunday session at Casa Aperol x Justin Lane, a lucky draw will take place that gives you and three friends the opportunity to live out your best Below Deck fantasies (above deck as the luxe guests of course) with a three-hour luxury yacht experience inclusive of all food and drinks.

Review: My Casa Aperol x Justin Lane (and luxury boat!) experience

I was lucky enough to get a taste of the high life on both the boat adventure and the Euro chill zone of Casa Aperol and let me tell you, you want to head to Burleigh Heads ASAP to get in on that action.

Be still my beating heart! The boat was a beauty.

From the second I saw that boat on the marina, my heart started beating a little faster. This boat was FANCY: think polished wooden floors, white unblemished surfaces everywhere, and I spied a charcuterie and seafood grazing table packed to the GODS themselves.

Oh. My. Food. Gods.

For just one day (well, a few hours) I could pretend to be one of those fancy boat people who definitely don’t work ever (save for some charity events, darling), wear designer clothes, and sip on neverending Aperol Spritzes.

My friend and I took the requisite fabulous photos (because if it’s not on socials, did you even GO on a boat?) and then settled in for some drinks and nibbles. And then took more photos because how often can you rub it in all your friends’ faces that you are on a LUXURY BOAT.

Me being a fancy boat lady, sipping on my Aperol.

I realised there was a place to lounge on the front of the boat, and apart from living out our best “I’m flying Jack!” Titanic moment for a hot second, we stretched out and soaked up the sun.

Honestly I was at this point figuring out what I needed to do to quit work, find a rich beneficiary and become a boat person forever. Or, you know, just head to Casa Aperol x Justin Lane to every Sunday from now until it ends to enter myself in the draw every single week.

I wasn’t kidding, my friend and I really did have our Titanic moment.

After we hopped off the yacht (noooo, don’t gooooo), we headed to Justin Lane for our official Sunday session. And more Aperol Spritzes, because it’s the signature drink of fun in the sun, don’t you know darling.

Cue all the delicious food we could handle. Our table feasted on natural oysters with Aperol pearls, lemon and dill; mushroom arancini with truffle aioli and ricotta salata; eggplant chips with a spicy arrabbiata sauce; and a seafood pizza topped with pretty much the entire ocean (prawns, calamari and mussels plus Justin’s spesh chilli oil, parsley and zesty lemon). They also had a special little grill going with king prawn skewers topped with garlic and chilli.

Food glorious food available at Casa Aperol x Justin Lane.

There were loads more delish sounding morsels on the menu but by that time we were well and truly stuffed and had to get rolled down the stairs and into an Uber.

Safe to say we had an amazing time and can wholeheartedly recommend the experience. Get yourself down to Justin Lane Rooftop Bar for a truly phenomenal Sunday sesh, and you too might be lucky enough to win the draw and find yourself swanning about on a boat pretending you’re super bougie and rich.
