Buying homewares has to be the most enjoyable errand to run… for us gals anyway (*cue the BF smile & nod). We love keeping up with homeware trends, so we thought we’d share our fave finds.

Sustainable Furniture
It’s no surprise that sustainable furniture is bigger than ever now that we’re so much more aware of the threat to our environment (rightfully so!). We are so down for finding ways to make our homes more sustainable while supporting local designers and makers at the same time. We absolutely love this handmade bathroom cabinet by Ingrain Designs from Victoria, how cool!

Pastels
Pastels are so in! It’s so easy to add a pop of colour to any room simply by adding some pastels. These chairs from Rachel Elizabeth Interiors (which we are obsessed with) are SO perfect for adding colour to your dining room, or living room, or… OK any room. And again, what is better than supporting a local Brisbane designer whilst being stylish?! I’ll take one of every colour, please…

Coloured Cabinets
The idea of painting kitchen cabinets a fun colour to give character to what can be a same ol’ Kitchen is pure genius.  Whether it’s a subtle change, or more adventurous like this kitchen we found on A Pair and A Spare. it’s the perfect way to inject your personality into a space we spend so much time in!

Coloured Doors
Oh my gosh, how cute are coloured front doors?! They add so much character to the exterior of your home and showcase your personality from the minute people arrive. We have seen this look great on old Queenslander style homes, but also modern ones like the pictured. Add a plant to tie it all together and voila! Why not make every door a different colour?! The options are endless.
