Once upon a time, there was a magical gallery exhibition called Fairy Tales at Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), and to celebrate the W Hotel has curated the an enchanting high tea experience for art-lovers.
Indulge your sweet tooth and get swept up in a new fairytale-themed Ever After High Tea at the hotel’s Living Room Bar from until 24 April. As part of the whimsical event, diners can immerse themselves in a re-imagined afternoon experience filled with bites inspired by ‘once upon a times’ and ‘happily ever afters’.
Known for their innovative High Tea creations, W Brisbane’s ‘Ever After’ menu captures the essence of classic childhood stories. Guests can savour in decadent desserts like the magnificent Queen Of Hearts chocolate and hazelnut cake featuring a rich cake coated in smooth chocolate and decorated with edible miniature cards. Other indulgent desserts include Snow White’s bittersweet poisoned apple mousse, Princess Midnight pumpkin surprise, mango and vanilla mousse and the picture-perfect Fairy Tale Cookie Cake Book which features an interactive element where guests can flex their creativity and paint their own edible designs.
Guests will be charmed by savory delights including Enchanted Forest mushrooms, Mermaid’s cured salmon crostini, Dragon’s Fire chicken pie and Sorcerer’s cheese and herb magic bites. The menu perfectly pairs with the signature themed cocktail, Love is Blind, consisting of Absolut vanilla vodka, activated charcoal, mango lassi, lemon juice and Aquafaba, or a glass of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. The High Tea is available as four different package options with paired drinks, including a kids’ option for the little princes and princesses.
Exclusive to Brisbane, QAGOMA’s exhibition Fairy Tales explores centuries of beloved folk stories through art, design and film. Guests can immerse themselves in opulent carriages to sumptuous gowns, twisted woodlands to mystical mirrors.
