We love to rug up with a cup of tea in the morning and Brisbane’s Laneway Tea Festival understands this, bringing their first-ever tea appreciation festival to Fortitude Valley on the Saturday October 5.
The Laneway Tea Festival has perfected their event to a tea, and it is set to be a must for all tea lovers.
To satisfy the tastebuds, the festival will feature free tea tastings (we doesn’t love a good freebie!) from worldwide teas and for those who’d like more, there will be a DIY tea blend bar to mix and match flavours. The event is also offering tea classes for you to learn the best tea brewing business to wow your friends with.
The event is being run by My Bakery Lane alongside tea specialists: Green Leaf Teahouse, Botanical Lab, The Steepery and East Forged to ensure you get the best tea in Brisbane.
Think that tea is just for drinking?
Tea readings are on the card for the Laneway Tea Festival (cue Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter) and there will be tea competitions to judge the winning teas. Fans of Green Tea, Chai, Black Tea, Matcha, High Tea, Kombucha, Iced Tea and Bubble Tea will be able to wander between vendors at Ann Street and try their favourite teas with a Brisbane twist.
Entry is free, all you need to do is register for a guaranteed spot, however, dedicated tea fans will be glad to hear that $10 VIP tickets are available which includes a tote bag, a ceramic teacup (perfect for trying every tea) and vouchers from the festival vendors. VIP’s will also receive an entry to win a tea prize pack.
The event runs all day from 10am until 4pm so morning people can get their fair share of tea throughout the day.
For a festival overflowing with fun and ultimately tea, head on down to the Laneway Tea Festival.
