It’s officially “new year new you” time! The time of the year where we set goals, get motivated and try to improve ourselves. My resolution this year was to focus on both wellness and beauty from the inside out. To kick start the process, I decided I needed some supplements, STAT. And what better person to tell me how to look and feel like a goddess than supermodel Elle Macpherson?

Over the years, the brand has expanded to several core supplements, but I’ve decided to try the signature Super Elixir Greens and the Skin Elixir to help heal my gut and give my skin a helping hand from within
My first thoughts are that the packaging is extremely chic and the stunning refillable black caddy is something I’d be proud to keep on my kitchen counter (I’d be a little smug about it too, if I am honest!).
The WelleCo Super Elixir Greens was the first product to be produced by the company and it remains their hero product. Created by Dr Simone Laubscher, the daily health supplement has a mix of vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts and probiotics. The version I am testing comes in the form of a green powder that tastes of pine lime, but there are other flavours including blood orange, lemon and ginger, and unflavoured.
The Skin Elixir, however, comes in pill form and contains a powerful vegan blend of natural greens and skin-supporting ingredients. Taking inspiration from the iconic premium greens powder, the Skin Elixir is designed specifically to support a clear, glowing complexion in supercharged, on-the-go vegan capsules that are non-GMO, gluten and dairy-free.
The benefits of the Super Elixir Greens and the Skin Elixir
According to the WelleCo team, just two teaspoons a day of the Super Elixir can help support clearer skin, enhanced energy levels, improved digestion and gut health, stronger hair and nails and an overall healthier immune system. Having just been to a seminar on gut health and hearing greens are crucial for good hormonal balance as well, I am very keen to try it out.
When taken daily, the Skin Elixir is said to promote healthy, glowing skin. skin healing and regeneration, skin firmness and elasticity and reducing free radicals formed in the body.
My WelleCo experience
I decided to track my progress and feeling over the course of a couple of months to make sure the supplements have time to work their magic.
First things first, and that’s getting the powder from the sleek pouch it comes in to the shiny black caddy. For the love of god, do this over a sink or at least in a kitchen if you’re clumsy like me.
Once I have all the precious powder in its place, I set up a little “wellness hub” on my kitchen bench, featuring the Super Elixir caddy and spoon, Skin Elixir bottle, and all my daily meds. This is to give myself a visual cue to prepare it each day.
And it works really well (for the most part, when I don’t wake up way too late and need to skedaddle out the door!)
The taste of the Super Elixir took a bit of getting used to, but I am told by my bestie that I am crazy and the pine lime is the absolute very best flavour. I have since found out that I am much more partial to the blood orange or unflavoured options. Also there are some great recipes for smoothies out there that highlight each of the flavours really nicely.
Taking my Super Elixir and Skin Elixer becomes a super easy, set and forget part of my day; as easy as eating brekky before I leave for work.
The verdict on WelleCo
Over three months of taking my WelleCo supplements and I can definitely see a difference in my skin and energy levels.
The Skin Elixir has contributed to my skin having a sort of inner glow rather than the dullness I have been battling lately. My skin feels more bouncy as well. I’ve also seen small improvements in my hair shine and nail strength.
I feel like my gut health is more on track than it was, and have had increased energy levels throughout the day. So nice to not need a nap after work!
I definitely recommend (as do they) taking your supplements in the morning to make sure you can use your energy boost rather than messing up your sleep patterns. At the very least, no later than around 1pm.
All in all, it’s such an easy addition to any routine that it’s a no brainer to add WelleCo Super Elixir to your routine if you’re looking to balance out energy levels, help with sleep, regulate your gut health and provide an immune boost. And the combo of Super Elixir and Skin Elixir definitely help to create that lit from within glow and complexion you’ve always wanted.
