Shark Tank’s Steve Baxter’s Venture Capital firm, TEN13, has partnered with non-profit 10×10 to boost three local grassroots organisations working in disability, mental health and domestic violence cause areas in Brisbane on Thursday 15th September.
10×10 Brisbane will be a fun night where 3 local grassroots organisations working in disability, mental health and domestic violence pitch in a ‘Shark Tank’ style setup to the crowd including 3 “Sharks for Good” including Steve Baxter for support. It’s a great cause supporting 3 Brisbane social enterprises, that you can attend with a minimum pledge of $100 (fully tax deductible). On the night you will be able to allocate your entire $100 across your favourite organisation/s.
Presenting to the panel will be 3 Brisbane-based charities:
– This Is A Conversation Starter (TIACS) – Free and confidential counselling service for truckies, tradies, rural, blue-collar workers & those who care about them, available Australia-wide.
– Friends With Dignity Ltd – A Not-For-Profit focused on improving the quality of life of any adult and child impacted by Domestic Violence through providing financial and tangible resources, programs and scholarships.
– eWaste Connection – A social enterprise for the community, providing opportunities to recycle, volunteer, train, and empower people of all abilities in an inclusive environment.
Each charity will pitch to the audience and be judged by the Sharks for Good panel including a real Shark – Steve Baxter, Nicholas Marchesi from Orange Sky Australia and Tyler Miscannon from Flight Centre Travel Group‘s Philanthropic arm.
