Just when you thought your week couldn’t get better, we’ve got word that a Cheese and Champagne Pop-Up is heading straight for Brisbane. Setting up at Portside Wharf, it will be a weekend of pure decadence as The Cheese PleaserGusto da Gianni and Moët & Chandon team up to create one cheesy weekend.

This free event is the perfect opportunity to bring along a picnic rug or grab a seat in the pop-up lounge where you can treat your tastebuds to a selection of French cheeses. Each cheese platter is $15 each and will include a selection of three cheeses perfectly curated by Sharyn de Kort from The Cheese Pleaser.

This year will feature three kinds of French cheeses including the Le Dauphin, Comte and Bleu d’Auvergne which will be served accompanied by The Cheese Pleaser’s signature apple & walnut chutney & biscuits. It’s hard to look past a glass (or bottle) of Moët & Chandon to wash it all down.

There will be live music by local artists throughout the day with all the fabulous Portside cafes and restaurants open for a pre or post-cheese feed. It’s just as the lyrics of the Eurythmics go: “sweet dreams are made of cheese, who am I do dis a brie?

The Cheese and Champagne Pop-Up will be heading to Portside Wharf from 12noon – 6pm, Saturday March 10 and 12noon – 5pm, Sunday March 10.
