There’s a new industrial playground popping up on the Riverside, and it’s about to become your new favourite drinking den. Taking up shop behind Emirates HouseRiverland is not only offering us a new all-day drinking spot (OMG!) but also Brisbane’s biggest river views.

Unlike anything we’ve seen before, Riverland is designed out of two 12-metre shipping containers featuring an epic fit out of timber and greenery. The open-air beer garden will transport you into a sub-tropical oasis with its countless vines running throughout it. Did someone say pina colada?

There’s a huge range of drinks worthy of exploring, with 16 beers and ciders on tap, and an impressive wine list from Australia’s best winemakers (plus appearances from some international stalwarts). Add on an extensive spirit list and house-specialty cocktails - you really couldn’t ask for more!

If you’re a bit like us and enjoy a wide range of food options, then you are in for a treat. Riverland boasts not 1, not 2, but FIVE individual kitchens. Feeling like some American BBQ ribs or a Chilli Dog? Look no further than Carolina Kitchen. Looking for some Asian goodness? Pull up a seat at Little Saigon or Ii-Naa Japanese. Feeling like something more traditional? Then check out Calamari Bros or Jaffle Shmaffle.

Carolina Kitchen will anchor the team taking up permanent residence in 1 of 3 converted containers, while the rest of the all-star line-up will be on rotation with other of Queensland's best street food Vendors. From Asia to Africa, Europe to South American and everything in between, you won’t have the same thing twice when visiting Riverland!

You’ll find Riverland at 167 Eagle Street, but keep an eye on the bar’s website and Facebook page for more information. We hear they are planning an epic New Year’s Eve party!
